Kā atvieglot šo procesu? Izvirzīju vairākus pamatnosacījumus:
- Cik liels dīvānkartupelis ir mans suns? Respektīvi, cik daudz laika viņš mīl pavadīt guļot uz mīkstas virsmas, dīvāna, cik bieži vēlas par spīti visam kāpt saimnieku gultā. Maxima gadījumā – 100% dīvāna kartupelis, vislaimīgāk jūtas kā karalis krākdams uz dīvāna. Tātad migai jeb suņu gultai vēlams būt no mīksta materiāla, kas ieaijā “karali” saldā un ērtā miegā.
- Izmēra/izstiepšanās proporcija. Cik daudz vietas vajag, lai miga būtu ērta? Maximam perfekts ir M izmērs (75 x 95 cm), kas ļauj brīvi iztiepties visā garumā un vajadzības gadījumā vietas pietiktu pat diviem vipetiem. Viņš gan ciemos nevienu neplāno aicināt, bet kā karalis grib justies noteikti.
- Cik viegli kopjamamai jābūt miga? Dubļi, negadījumi ar kājas pacelšanu iekštelpās, traipi. Do you love well-designed objects that are not only modern, but also high-quality, durable, and above all, convenient to use? Me – definitely. Especially, I care for things which are best described by the term timeless, which means they do not lose relevance in the everchanging fashion whim winds, just keep getting better when used, and do not make you worry about small scratches or stains. Long-lasting, solid, and beautiful.
Since our whippet Maxim joined our household, logically changes have been introduced to the interior. Space now has a new area owned by the four-legged pet. This means – a super comfy nest to strech in, nap, and rollover so the owners can reach the daily belly scratching norm.
In the nest, dog-running dreams are dreamt, balls gnawed, treats hidden (because no one sees of course!). What should a perfect nest or dog bed be like? Maxim would probably describe it in three words: comfortable, durable, and pleasant. I would add – beautiful. If pet accessories matching my taste, I manage to hunt down, then when looking for a beautiful lair, I am stopped in my tracks by the pet shop’s rather boring and uniform offer, which especially lacks quality and design. Just like when choosing furniture for our own accommodation, I would also like to arrange the dog’s private space so that it harmoniously fits in with the rest of the interior. The four-legged pet immediately becomes a full member of the family, and therefore deserves the best.
A search for a good and beautiful design once led to .. seventh heaven! Yes, that’s exactly like what I felt when opening the Cloud 7 website. Scandinavian minimalism perfectly executed – researching dog beds and accessories, I felt like in a shoe store, where you simply do not understand how to make a choice, because you want it all.
And how to facilitate this process? I raised a number of basic requirements:
- How big of a couch potato is my dog? In other words, how much time does he love to spend lying on a soft surface, sofa, how often, in spite of everything, he wants to climb into the masters’ bed? In Maxim’s case – 100% couch potato, the happiest is when he feels like a king snoring on the couch. So the dog bed ought to be of a soft material that lulls the “king” into a sweet and comfortable sleep.
- Size/stretch ratio. How much space does he need for the bed to be comfortable? For Maxim, the perfect size is M (75 x 95cm) which allows him to strech freely in length and, if necessary, would have sufficient space for two whippets. Though he has no plans to invite anyone over, without a doubt he wants to feel like a king.
- How easy should it be to maintain the bed? Mud, accidental leg lifting indoors, stains. Though Maxim does not find walking in the city streets a good way of spending time (the sea, meadows, forests are meant for that) he is always patient, and emergency situations with lifting his leg practically don’t exist. He is not too keen to hide treats because better a treat in the mouth, than in the bed; nevertheless, sometimes some carrot can be found in the side of the bed. Paws, we always thoroughly clean after each walk. Accordingly, I made the choice in favour of a soft, wool fabric bed, which is 100% created for convenience – DOG BED SLEEPY DELUXE TEDDY. But, if it is known that the dog’s lair will require frequent maintenance, then an ideal option is antibacterial, synthetic fiber, and a waterproof bed (like this for example).

Combining talent and passion and, of course, a love for dogs, Petra created a brand that makes you fall in love with it at first sight. Ascetic, minimal, and beautiful! Things you would like for yourself, only your four-legged pet will use them. I must confess that on the Cloud 7 website, I tend to spend more time than in fashion sites. The dog doesn’t object at all.
